The Sacramento Swim League is a summer recreational swim league in the Sacramento area. We follow the USA Swimming rules and are governed by a Board of Directors. Team sizes range from 65 to 180 swimmers.
The league hosts an invitational meet in May, dual/tri-meets throughout the summer (commencing around June 1st), and championships in late July.
We are a volunteer organization; all meet officials are parent volunteers. We organize annual clinics for stroke-and-turn officials, coaches, starters, and computer operators. We provide computer training for coaches and computer operators. Our season begins on April 1st, when swimmers can begin organized workouts.
As a league, we use Team Unify and Meet Manager to seed and run our meets. Software and training is provided by the league. For starting systems, the league standard is Colorado Starting System. Some of our teams also use Colorado timing systems, while others use more traditional stopwatches to time races (times entered into Meet Manager).
